Who we are

Enquiries and accounts

We use the contact and business details you give us to answer enquiries, arrange a pilot, deliver the service and manage your account. Our grounds are taking steps towards or performing a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, securing the service and keeping appropriate records.

For relevant business outreach, we may obtain a company name, business contact address and service information from its public website. We use that information to offer a relevant service and record objections. You can object by replying or emailing us.

Information handled for our customers

When an electrician uses TradeRelay, they decide why their customer information is used. We handle names, contact details, enquiry and quote information, messages and delivery records on their instructions. Contact that business first about its use of your details. We will help it respond to requests. A separate data-processing agreement forms part of each activated pilot.

Service providers

Our service uses Vercel for hosting, Clerk for account authentication, Convex for application data, Resend for email and Apple iCloud for our business mailbox. Providers may process information outside the UK. Before activating a pilot, we document its providers, locations and applicable transfer safeguards in the data-processing agreement. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We review unconverted business enquiries after six months and delete them when no longer needed. We keep a minimal record of marketing objections so we can honour them. Pilot customer data is returned or deleted within 30 days of termination as agreed with the customer, subject to legal retention requirements and provider backup cycles. Financial and contractual records are kept for the applicable statutory period.

Cookies and local storage

The public site has no advertising trackers. Authentication uses necessary session technologies when you sign in. A local preference remembers your chosen theme. We will ask before adding optional analytics or advertising cookies.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, object to processing, or request a portable copy. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. Contact info@gettraderelay.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
